Throw the book at torturers of cat

Thank you for putting the very sad cat-torture story on the front page. So often stories like this one are lost between the pages. People have to read and know what happens to these poor animals. There are humane ways to remove feral cats; torture is not one of them. How scary to think these two maintenance men were working where people live and work. I sure wouldn't want anyone who could do that to a cat working near me or my family. Trying to drown a cat in kerosene, hitting it with a fire extinguisher and trying to smother it in the snow? Anyone who can think of or do something like this needs a lot of mental help and doesn't belong working around people, children and animals.

The maximum these men can get is six months in jail, community service and fines -- that is, if they are found guilty.

My question is, was this a one-time incident or were there other feral cats already gotten rid of in a horrible way? Most often, we don't see only one feral cat. This poor cat was so helpless when all this torture took place. What cowards these men are.

I commend the person who called the animal-control officers. I hope Stinky now gets a real good home and the entire book is thrown at these two men.
